- 1. How do I change the DNS (Domain Name Server) Information listed as authoritative for my domain name? -
Top - Often, Web Hosting companies and ISPs (Internet Service Providers) will request that you change the authoritative DNS (Domain Name Server) Information for your domain name so that they may manage and make necessary zone file modifications for the domain name; for example, connecting your domain name to a Web site they may be hosting for you, or setting your domain name's mail routing options.
In the event that your Web Hosting company or ISP has requested that you change the DNS Information currently listed as authoritative for your domain name, you will need to make the changes to your domain name using the following procedures outlined in the paragraph below:
You can use Domain Manager to submit your changes directly to the registry. Once the information has been submitted to the registry, please allow 24-72 hours (standard Internet propagation time) for the update to be completed.
Domain Manager can be accessed at: http://registerclub.com/accounts/login.html
Log into Domain Manager using your user name and password (typically established during the domain name registration process), and then click the Modify DNS link on the main screen. You will need to be prepared with the names of the DNS (Domain Name Servers) that you would like to list as authoritative for your domain name - information typically provided by your ISP, Web Hosting company or network administrator. Enter or replace the name of the DNS that you intend to have listed as authoritative for your domain name.
